This piece was both a purple color study and an exploration of multiple subjects. The figures are sisters, one older and younger, posing together – protecting each other. This piece also marks the first appearance of the "ghoul," the black figure in my work. I find the ghoul mysterious and grounding, its darkness creating a striking contrast to the vibrant colors surrounding it.
